"There is a world of difference between what should be done and actually doing it"
There is so much more to implementing practical actions that will make a real long term difference in helping with today's environmental challenges.
The Interiors Group board made a unanimous decision to not just pay lip service to the environmental challenges of today but do 'everything possible' that will deliver high impact measurable results in our responsibility as individuals, as a business and a deliverer of high quality office design and build. This is how we ensure our clients requirements for exceptional levels of environmental responsibility are met and exceeded, not only today but also into the future.
As part of the ongoing commitment to minimise the environmental impacts of our business activities we have implemented the following initiatives:
ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). In order to obtain registration you must demonstrate high environmental standards and compliance with all relevant legislation. The standard is certified by an independent 3rd party and is in use in 140 countries by nearly 130,000 organisations.
The Interiors Group is in the processes of obtaining registration in partnership with the British Accreditation Bureau.

Assessment Method
BREEAM is a globally recognised scheme that aims to quantify and reduce the environmental burdens of buildings by rewarding those designs that take positive steps to minimise their environmental impacts.
Projects are assessed using a system of credits. The credits are grouped within the following categories:
- Management
- Energy
- Transport
- Health and Well Being
- Water
- Materials and Waste
- Land use
- Site Ecological Value
- Pollution
The assessment process results in a report covering the issues assessed together with a formal certification giving a rating on a scale of PASS, GOOD, VERY GOOD and EXCELLENT
Anthony Doyle is a qualified BREEAM Assessor and any fit out can be assessed against these criteria.
