RECYCLING
As a business we are proud to have developed an inbred culture in which a ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ mentality has been adopted by all employees and staff, from contractors to board members. With everyone involved, we recycle as many waste materials as possible in both conventional and innovative ways.
We work with experts Dove Recycling for all our waste paper, plastic, IT equipment and fluorescent tubes etc., which is collected from our offices and sites on a regular basis and recycled on our behalf. Alongside this, all our sites, no matter what the contract value, are run in line with Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP), a legal requirement only for projects over £300,000 and all our on-site canteen equipment and office furniture is transferred and reused on other sites.
One of our more innovative initiatives has resulted in us donating used samples and finishes to local primary schools and nurseries for use in art projects, helping to encourage and develop, we hope, the architects and designers of tomorrow.
